Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3) is a collaboration hosted at CERN. It consists of 3000+ libraries, research organisations and funding agencies from almost 50 countries. The collaboration supports the open access publication of particle physics research in journals at no cost for authors.
The consortium was launched in 2012 and became fully operational in 2014.[1]
