From cernipedia

The Tripartite Advisory Committee on Conditions of Employment (TRACE),[1] was created in 1989. The committee replaced the Consultative Committee on Employment Conditions.

TRACE was a permanent tripartite advisory body established to study and report on those aspects of CERN staff policy and employment conditions on which Council could ask for its advice and issue the relevant guidelines.

TRACE was dissolved in 1996 and replaces by the Tripartite Employment Conditions Forum (TREF).[2]
