Road sign: A. Picot

Route A. Picot was established in 1969[1] in honour of Geneva politician Albert Picot (1882–1966), a Geneva politician who played a key role in the decision to establish CERN in the Canton of Geneva.[2] The street subsequently disappeared with the construction of Building 40, a project to which the Canton of Geneva made a significant contribution. The original “Route A. Picot” pointed directly towards the city of Geneva.
