CERN has two main sites, Meyrin and Prevessin. It is less known that CERN also has 90 hectare of woods and forest.[2]
- 624 ha of land made available by the Host States (France 516 ha, Switzerland 108 ha)
- 18 fenced sites covering a surface area of 226 ha (France 177 ha, Switzerland 49 ha)
- Meyrin site: 78 ha, Prevessin site: 87 ha
- 24.9 km of fencing
